back to the zoo again.. we could not catch the "Creatures of the Night Show" at 8:30pm.. but we managed to see an impressive tribal performance infront of the cafetaria at the night safari entrance.. it was a fast pace dance and action performance.. and i loved the firebreathing acts.. which they performed in abandon.. pouring mouthfuls of alcohol into their mouths throughout the entire show..
anyway, we bought the normal admission ticket which did not include the tram ride.. found out that the tram routes are actually inaccessible on foot.. so we missed out on a few animals.. but it wasn't that too bad as the more interesting creatures are found along the footpath.. and covered nearly 75% of the night safari grounds i believe..
there are several footpaths.. and they are named after the type of creatures that are confined in the area.. the path was dark and narrow.. reminded me of the Fright Night activities that i participated during my freshman days.. but of course it wan not scary since we knew that the animals are in safety enclosures..
we saw some porcupines along the way.. and JH noticed the chinese name of this animal.. somehow the two of us became related by the chinese name.. and now JH refers to me as his porcupine brother..
nothing much exciting in the night safari.. and some of the animals were actually *gasp* sleeping.. or simply just lazing around.. could not see many animal activities happening.. perhaps only the howling of the Indian Wolves.. also missed the night show at 9:30pm..
JH had wished to visit the Spotted Hyenas one more time.. hoping to hear the laughing sound of hyenas.. which he had never had the chance to hear before.. but it was late and i wanted to head home already.. so i promised to find some video or sounds or a laughing hyena.. so here it is..
and so this marks the end of my zoo trip this year..
